Portugal: March 16 - 20

Sat Nam friends and family,

After teaching in Bavaria, I spent five relaxing days with Satya Kaur and Shiv Charan Singh in their new home about 45 minutes north of Lisbon, Portugal.

Actually I would call their home more a small villa, nestled in a valley surrounded by ancient green terraced hills of grain, fruit trees and vineyards in the village of Santa Susana. They have been blessed to have this "built to order" home, complete with a yoga room and guest rooms.
A professional gardener and a French sevadar, Stephane, have recently landscaped the property with more than 25 fruit trees, a organic garden, and flowers. A beautiful sitting room overlooks a panorama of ancient green terraced hills.

Satya Kaur, Shiv Charan Singh and I spent an afternoon walking at the nearby beach. Then we visited small fishing village about 15 minutes from their home and enjoy some local pastry specialities. Delicious walnut cakes. The houses near the town center were white with either bright red or blue accents or completed covered in beautiful tiles.
And the people are so very friendly when I was preparing to take this photo these two women offered to be included and join the fun!

You can contact Satya Kaur via email: satya@karamkriya.co.uk for more information if you wish to visit or bring a yoga group.

And I am planning to visit them again soon.

Munchen Women's Weekend and Yoga Center

Sat Nam,

After a few days of "sleep therapy" for my jet lag in the Bavarian countryside, I was ready to teach on March 13.

However the youth shooting near Stuttgart deeply cracked the "perfect picture." After an intense Kundalini Yoga set and deep meditation, the Friday women's class shared how we, as women, hold the psyche of our families and our communities. We acknowledged that our personal grace, excellence and radiance give us a stable base for ourselves and for those around us.
(Right picture: We did the U-Yoga set; each exercise was for 11 minutes with listening or chanting Chattara Chakara Varatee!)

On Saturday and Sunday, I taught in the newly established Kundalini Yoga center in Munchen. A dynamic crew of Kundalini Yogis have created a non-profit foundation for this yoga center. For over three years they planned and then constructed a place where they can teach Kundalini Yoga, have group sadhana, and gather for tea and talks. It has not been an easy process however today they feel victorious and the journey continues forward!
(Above photo: Call on the Adi Shakti Meditation for 31 minutes.)

The Kundalini Yoga Zentrum Munchen is managed by a core team with support groups for specific projects, marketing, and monthly program development. They are interested in connecting with other Kundalini Yoga centers to share inspiration and ideas. Please contact directly with Kai Michaelis: kai@k-yoga.de

EU teaching adventure MARCH 09

Sat Nam friends,

I am now preparing for a 29 day tour in Europe to meet long-time friends, make new friendships and share the yogic teachings. I will fly from Albuquerque on March 10 to Munchen where I will stay with Bhagwati Kaur for a few days in the countryside before I teach on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

You will then find me in Portugal for a 5 day vacation. Satya Kaur, a native Portuguese Kundalini Yoga Trainer who formerly lived in London, will be my tour guide in this land of sun, fresh food and sea coast.

I will then return back to Germany. Teaching Kundalini Women seminars in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Erfurt, Leibzig and Heilbronn. Erfurt and Leibzig are in eastern Germany and I have heard that these old cities are beautiful.

This teaching tour will also focus on forming a team of women to coordinate a German Women's Camp in 2009 near Frankfurt.

My garden is prepared for planting when I return back April 7. Until then please look forward to some stories and photos from my adventure in EU.

Love and blessings,
Tarn Taran Kaur
